The Dragonboat Funival at the Sembawang clubhouse saw 122 enthusiastic participants put their strength on display. The lively carnival had a number of food and beverage stations serving local delicacies and offering fringe activities. This year, a new component – Family Tug-of-War – was introduced. There were five teams, all made up of families. Team “J-Division” beat out “Unicorn & Chicken Rice” to emerge as champion. The “Super Duper” team took the second runner-up spot.

Participants also witnessed the intense Most Supportive Division Dragonboat Battle, with categories for both full-time National Servicemen and Police National Servicemen. After many competitive bouts, Singapore Police Force’s Protective Security Command or ProCom emerged winner in both categories.
