Gearing Up for Geylang Serai Bazaar- Behind the festive atmosphere is a crack team that ensures crime and mischief have no place at the bazaar.
The annual Geylang Serai Bazaar is well known for its variety of food, games and markets. It is also the place where Muslim families often visit to break fast together during Ramadan. Singapore Police Force’s Bedok Division has been actively involved in the safekeeping and policing of the bazaar area since 2001, and has been instrumental in maintaining a low crime rate.
The Geylang Serai Bazaar deployment is a unique operation as it is mainly planned and executed by Police National Servicemen (PNSmen).
